Francis Bayley of Uttoxeter. Working 1726 to circa 1760. 11” square brass dial, 30 hour chain/weight driven clock, striking on a bell. Date aperture. Pierced hands. Nicely proportioned walnut veneer case with a slim trunk and marquetry inlaid start to door and front panel. Full length door with boxwood stringing and broken arch top. Bracket feet. 81” tall, 22” wide overall (trunk 12 1/4” wide) 10 ¼” deep.
