12" Mahogany drop dial clock - circa 1864 from Ashby de la Zouch. Beautifully figured and carved mahogany case with additional brass stringing. Flat dial and glass with spun brass bezel and ornate hands. This clock strikes the time (not just a timepiece) and as such is quite rare in this configuration. It has a substantial twin fusee movement and its chime will bring the familiarity of a home to any household.
